Hello my lovely MSS readers and stopper-bys, and hello September too! I hope you’ve had a FUNtastic summer, and I must say, what a great summer weather we’ve had. I have been here in the UK for seven years now… and if I remembered it right, I think that’s one of the warmest and driest summer ever. It’s starting to feel cooler (and wet) recently, and so transitional outfit ideas came to mind. Whilst culottes are seen more during summertime, I like to keep wearing it for as long as I can. Why? Because its a pants that looks like a skirt and is very comfortable to wear. Its below the knee length means it can protect my legs from a chilly blast, and I don’t have to worry about sudden gush of strong wind, because after all, it’s a culottes not a skirt. Sounds like a perfect summer-autumn must-have right?
I found this culottes at a charity shop, my knitted cardigan was £1 sale from Primark, Asos sunnies, Primark white top, Russell & Bromley wedge sandals and H&M metallic green sling bag for a touch of shine. The cute “hello” ring is Big Baby purchased from Hush store, New Look key pendant necklace and a hand-me-down Dior bracelet from a friend.
While it’s not quiet time to remaster those garment layering technique for autumn-winter, why not make the most of your summer wardrobe by adding some autumnal essentials.
Throwing in scarf over your favourite sheer top and skinny jeans and securing it with a belt, then putting a peacoat over the shoulder I think is very chic.
Or pair a dress with a knee-high socks for a more feminine transitional look.
Double denim is always one of my fave, transitional outfit or not. Celebrities are wearing it i.e. Beyonce, Rihanna and Katy Perry, you don’t have to, but you can if you want ;) Pair your denim shorts with a sheer tights and long sleeve denim top, or just go denim all the way ;)
What do you think of these pairings for transitional outfits? Please do share what you think on the comment box below, and thanks for your time reading my post.
Love,
