Happy New Year everyone!!!
and so here it is… my first post of 2013.
I’ve been living in England for nearly 6 years now and I must admit, I really missed the new year celebration back in the Philippines. When the clock strikes 12 midnight, you hear firecrackers everywhere, clanging of pots and pans, blowing Jeep, cars or motorcycle horns, or just making noise in general.. it’s almost deafening but everyone’s at it and it’s just bonkers! It’s an old Filipino beliefs that loud noise drives bad spirit away and make the new year bountiful and blessed.
Wearing Polkadot dress or shirt on the other hand, brings Goodluck because it symbolises money.. same with having lots of round fruits on the table.
Having said so, celebrating new year in the UK with my hubby, daughter and in laws is as special.
This black dots and bow top I’m wearing was bought on sale for a few quid from New Look, my vintage find polka dots trousers was thrifted online for a couple of quid. Clutch bag similar here and Zara shoes.
This is a year of the water snake… and I’ve done some nail art to commemorate for this year too.
Wishing us all Peace, Goodluck, Happiness and Good Health for 2013!
Lots of love,
