Hello me hearties! I hope you’re all coping well with the after festivity blues :)
I have definitely gained weight after all the that food and sweets I’ve been scoffing since Christmas eve… but this post is not all about how much of a pig I am, I just thought it’s about time for an outfit post. Both mine and my hubby’s work dos were on the same night, but I decided to go with my hubby’s Christmas party in the end. I was not just playing the dotting wife duty here *winks, but his do was great (I mean his bosses are great)! The three course meals are paid for, not to mention the unlimited drinks, free room for the night and breakfast the morning after- isn’t that awesome?
I bought this dress at the last minute… while I already have an outfit in mind for the party, but when I saw this one in a designer shop window, I just had to go in and try it on. I really love the cut and style of the dress, it’s simple yet classy, and the best part was it’s was a bargain at 70% off. Plus the sales lady said that I’m definitely a red girl after trying it on, so I just blame her when husband asked how come I’ve got a different dress on.
I opted for minimal sparkly accessories; my earrings, bracelet and clutch are my old ones; and the Carvela shoes was a preloved purchased for a fiver through a friend. I did my own hair and makeup that night, I went for a plait with a side bun; smoky eyes and dark red lippy to finish.
Here are some snaps too from my mobile phone too:
This was my first ever gelish nails in Christmas theme to go with my outfit courtesy of my friend.
The theme of the party was “Casino Night”, we were provided with chips to play with just for fun after the meal in a Las Vegas Casino setting.
I really had a fantastic night partying with my other half and his colleagues, and got to finally met my blogger friend Sian (gorgeous lady above) in person, who was at the same party too. Don’t you just think that dress really suited her well? Believe me, that dress was even more gorgeous on the dance floor – you can see her outfit post here. She also kindly took and shared these lovely photos for me.
Thanks for reading, and have a nice and easy week ahead!
