Again! Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well. I have been to this world heritage site a few times before.. as every time I get a visit from friends and family here in North Yorkshire, I always take them to this special place. Fountains Abbey never ceased to amazed me, it’s one of the largest and best preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in Europe. Founded in 1132, and established by devout monks seeking a simpler existence. It is located approximately three miles south-west of Ripon, and is roughly 30 minutes from Harrogate. The abbey is a Grade I listed building, which basically means a building with exceptional interest and is internationally important. It is owned by the National Trust and maintained by English Heritage. Fountains Abbey is part of Studley Royal Park, a 323 hectares of magnificent features including an elegant Georgian water garden, a Jacobean mansion, a Victorian church, a medieval deer park and of course the ruins of Fountains Abbey. It’s a truly one-of-a-kind and inspiring place, that’s definitely worth a visit if your in the UK.
I saw people have their pre nuptials photos, wedding photos and family/self portraits taken here, and I don’t blame them. The beautiful surroundings gave that magical feeling and effect, which will surely reflect in their photos.
My outfit on the other hand, was all inspired by my retro styled sunglasses I bought from Zara. I went for a monochrome look, as I thought the black silhouettes goes well with my stunning backgrounds. Black M&S hat, black River Island leather jacket and black Primark boots are my old purchases. My brown leather bag is vintage, a recent purchase of mine for a few quid at a carboot sale. My Marilyn Monroe portrait scarf was from Valtiara shop in Harrogate.
Thank you ma for taking my outfit shots, and thanks to you too for stopping by.
