Easy Breezy Afternoon: Cotton Tee and Skinny Jeans

When the sun comes out, everyone brightens up! :)

That’s what I noticed lately as June’s weather looks very promising… bright sunshine, some warmth during the day and cool summer breeze by the afternoon. I hope I’ve not said it too early, but summer’s really here. Yey! All I wanted to do was get out, have a soaked and feel its warmth while it lasts.

what to wear for cool summer

I’ve chosen this floral skinny jeans I bought last year in Leeds market, it was on offer for half price and haven’t really worn it yet so I thought it was time for it to see the sun too.

I paired it with this simple GAP cotton tee and added some statement accessories here and there… like the multiple cross chain necklace from Miss Selfridge and a bow skinny belt from Topshop, both bought at 70% off last New Year’s sale. This coral coloured bag was handed down to me by a friend.

comfy and cool outfit for summer

I’ve got my denim shirt on because it was cool and breezy afternoon stroll by the river, this six year old leather strap flat sandal was my choice of footwear for the day…

…but I also took my flowery welly boots too! I knew my little girl will asked me to explore in the river with her, and I didn’t really fancy dipping my barefoot in that freezing cold water hence why I came prepared ;)

I love being out and about for a walk with my little girl and hubby, especially in the sunny weather looking at these lovely countryside views… it was very relaxing and refreshing for a change. After doing a few epic night shifts, it was just what I needed.
