Hi, I’m Chew… a nurse, a Yorkshireman’s wife and a mum of one amazing daughter.
This blog was born in memory of my loving father- the first fashionable man I know.
I love dressing up and putting outfits together, it gives me excitement and happiness.
I started designing and making clothes for paper dolls when I was 10 and then sold them to my friends at school. Unlike my paper dolls… styling myself as I’m growing up was quite challenging, especially if you don’t have many clothes or shoes to choose from. That’s why at a young age, I learned to thrift at second hand or preloved shops, “ukay-ukay” as what we call it in the Philippines.
I love challenging myself into styling these preloved and unwanted clothes into something beautiful. Giving back love to each and every items and making it look more than what its worth in or as an outfit gives me satisfaction.
I still love to thrift these days, in fact, more often than before. I love to shop for a good cause, and charity shops here in England are right up my street! Quiet literally :) I mix ‘n’ match them with my high street brands and designer purchases.
I believe that style should be expressive, inspirational, motivating.. and most of all, not determined by the value or amount of what you’re wearing, but how you’re wearing it.
This is my passion. Welcome to my style stories!
